Synopsis For the third consecutive year, MUDE organises, in partnership with PIN, the core exhibition of the Lisbon Jewellery Biennial, integrating it into its annual programme. "Coexistências, A Joalharia e a Beleza do Mundo" is an international group exhibition that meets the consistent work carried out at the Museum over the years on sustainability, the correlation between ethics and aesthetics, and the interconnections between design and the sciences. This initiative reflects the way MUDE has valued contemporary jewellery, considering it an expression of design that acts as an operational and speculative territory of excellence. The theme of this 3rd edition and of the core exhibition raises ecological questions that challenge 21st-century design: how can we coexist in a fairer, more empathetic and interconnected way? What does it mean to design the future based on alliances between cultures, species and technologies? What role can the symbolic and sensitive thinking of jewellery play in this process of collective relearning? How can beauty help us read the world? The answers to these questions come through works by artists and designers who summon complex ecological systems, artificial intelligence, digital networks and indigenous epistemologies to portray a world in profound transformation. Starting from jewellery as a sensitive and symbolic language, the works propose radical ways of living and thinking, in coexistence with multiple forms of life, human and non-human. Each piece is an invitation to active listening and to a relationship with the other worlds that surround us: mineral, microbial, fungal, vegetal, animal, spiritual and digital. Sinopse Pela terceira vez consecutiva, o MUDE organiza, em parceria com a PIN, a exposição nuclear da Bienal de Joalharia de Lisboa, integrando-a na sua programação anual. "Coexistências , A Joalharia e a Beleza do Mundo" é uma exposição coletiva internacional que vai ao encontro do trabalho consistente que se tem realizado no Museu ao longo de anos sobre a sustentabilidade, a correlação entre ética e estética e as interligações entre o design e as ciências. Esta iniciativa reflete a forma como no MUDE se tem valorizado a joalharia contemporânea considerando-a como uma expressão do design que atua como um território operativo e especulativo de excelência. O tema desta 3.ª edição e da exposição nuclear lança questões ecológicas que interpelam o design do século XXI: como poderemos coexistir de forma mais justa, empática e interligada? O que significa projetar o futuro a partir de alianças entre culturas, espécies e tecnologias? Que papel pode ter o pensamento simbólico e sensível da joalharia nesse processo de reaprendizagem coletiva? Como pode a beleza ajudar-nos a ler o mundo? As propostas de resposta a estas perguntas surgem através de obras de artistas e designers que convocam sistemas ecológicos complexos, a inteligência artificial, as redes digitais e as epistemologias indígenas para traçar o retrato de um mundo em profunda mutação. Partindo da joalharia como linguagem sensível e simbólica, as obras propõem modos radicais de viver e de pensar, em coexistência com múltiplas formas de vida , humana e não-humana.
