He is seen by many as a politically incorrect provocateur who spares no one, and by others as a comic figure with teeth that are too perfect, an unmistakable laugh and apparently unchanging hair. Whatever the perspective, he has been scientifically considered the funniest comedian in the United Kingdom. One of the biggest box-office phenomena in world comedy, Jimmy regularly performs to sold-out rooms all over the world, drawing laughter — and sometimes gasps of shock — in more than fifty countries. His latest tour, Terribly Funny 2.0, sold over 1.2 million tickets globally and took him to new markets, with shows in India and the United States. In a clear attempt to keep the title of 'Hardest Working Man in Comedy', in 2023 he travelled through 145 cities in 12 countries and 4 continents, performing an impressive 293 shows. In 2024 he did 271 more shows and, in 2025, added another 285 across 19 countries. His current tour, Laughs Funny, began with a run through the United States on 17 April 2024, then moved on to the United Kingdom, Ireland and several European countries throughout 2025.
