Brief Introduction The entrance ticket to Museu do Oriente grants access to all exhibitions on display. Permanent Exhibition: "Presença Portuguesa na Ásia" [Floor 1] With more than 3,400 pieces, this collection includes Chinese and Japanese screens from the 17th and 18th centuries and a core of armorial porcelain from the East India Company. Temporary exhibitions: "Japão: Festas e Rituais" [Floor 2] Until 3 January 2027 Throughout the year, numerous traditional festivals and rituals of a religious nature, of great social and cultural importance, take place in Japan. Bringing together more than 1,500 pieces in an impressive scenography, Japan: Festivals and Rituals presents these celebrations and their role in Japanese society.
