Brief Introduction LINOCUT WORKSHOP With Maria Manuel Lyra DATE | Tuesday | 13 October TIME | 14:30 to 18:00 PARTICIPANTS | Min. 6 Max. 10 PRICE | €45 (includes materials) This workshop proposes a practical introduction to the linocut technique. The basic principles of drawing composition, its transfer to the matrix, the use of cutting tools, and manual printing methods will be addressed. It is aimed at beginners and the curious, with no prior experience required, and invites close contact with the different materials, processes, and essential caregivers in this printmaking technique. Each participant may bring an image of their choice as long as it is printed in mirror. At the end, they can take home the print created in the workshop. Maria Manuel Lyra is a visual artist, graduated in Landscape Architecture, with practice developed between painting, printmaking, and installation. She has dedicated herself to printmaking since 2019, deepening processes related to the body, time, and memory. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Portugal and abroad. She is currently president of the Água-Forte Printmaking Association. In case of cancellation: A full refund of the registration fee will be made when cancellation is communicated up to 8 working days before the activity. After that date, a refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in situations of illness, accident, or other unforeseeable circumstances of force majeure, duly proven.
