Workshop introducing Chinese painting with Mário Kong, aiming to disseminate the specific materials and techniques of this art form, executing the essential strokes.

Brief Introduction INTRODUCTION TO CHINESE PAINTING Workshop With Mário Kong DATES Saturdays | 24 and 31 October TIME 10am to 1pm PARTICIPANTS Max. 15 PRICE €50 Distinct from Western painting, Chinese painting does not intend to create a faithful copy of reality, but rather to represent the essence of the subject, capturing its most characteristic features without entering into detail. This workshop aims to disseminate the specific materials and techniques, as well as to execute the essential strokes of this art form. Target audience: art students and general public Mário S. Ming Kong holds a degree in Architecture from FA-UTL where he teaches in the Department of Drawing and Visual Communication. He has a specialization in Chinese Painting, a master's degree in the Area of Rehabilitation of Architecture and Urban Centers from FA-UTL, and a PhD from the Escuela Tècnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona in the Area of Visual Communication.
