To celebrate 30 years, Saraiva + Associados takes the exhibition 'Reflexo. 30 Anos, 30 Projetos' onto the street outside its headquarters on Avenida Infante Santo, with 30 bookmark-shaped panels dedicated to works such as the Portugal Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. The show is free, requires no booking and will be on display for two months.

To celebrate three decades of activity, Saraiva + Associados (S+A) has chosen the public space as the stage to present its journey, under the title Reflexo. 30 Anos, 30 Projetos. From 18 September, the exhibition literally takes over the street, installing itself in the space in front of number 69 A-C of Avenida Infante Santo, the studio's headquarters, and turning it into a meeting point between architecture and the city. The central device of the show consists of 30 large-scale vertical panels, designed like a bookmark — the object that, in everyday life, marks the exact moment when a narrative is interrupted so that it is not forgotten. On the street, each panel performs the same function: it interrupts the urban flow and anchors, in collective memory, the evolution of cities and of a studio. Among the thirty selected projects are some of the works that have marked S+A's national and international journey since 1996, such as the Portugal Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020, the Polícia Judiciária Headquarters in Lisbon, the Beatriz Ângelo Hospital in Loures, or the Infinity Tower, also in the capital — a set that mirrors the diversity of scales, geographies and programmes with which the studio has worked over three decades. The photographic component and the technical drawings of each project share the spotlight with a set of voices that run through the studio's journey. Along the exhibition route, the pavement and pillars incorporate phrases by S+A architects who have played, and still play, an essential role in that journey, and which dialogue with the work on display, situating the studio within a broader reflection on architecture, time and permanence. The exhibition is free, will be on show for two months, uninterrupted, and requires no prior booking, inviting residents, shopkeepers and passers-by to engage with the design of the city directly and without barriers.
