PALÁCIO PIMENTA - VOICES OF LISBON - THEATRE

Friday 4 December – Saturday 5 December

Museu de Lisboa - Palácio Pimenta, Lisbon

Brief Introduction Over six stations spread across the exhibition of the Museum of Lisbon - Palácio Pimenta, three actors (Isabel Candungo, Manuel Diogo, Vânia Naia) guide the public through almost a thousand years of the city's history. Synopsis With staging and dramaturgy by Carla Chambel, at each 'stop' Lisbon gains a voice through chronicles, letters, historical accounts, poetry and songs that bear witness to some of the decisive moments of its construction. More than representing historical events, the route seeks to give body to the voices of those who lived in the city: merchants, soldiers, women who stayed ashore, earthquake survivors, anonymous citizens and protagonists of the April Revolution. One of the characters continuously represents the city of Lisbon itself, establishing the connection between all eras and guiding visitors from station to station. Prices General - 10€
