Filho da Mãe, the project of guitarist Rui Carvalho, performs live at àCapela on September 25, in a concert that blends rock, punk, folk and experimentalism, and anticipates his new album.

Filho da Mãe is the artistic name of Portuguese guitarist Rui Carvalho, one of the most striking figures of instrumental music and contemporary acoustic guitar in Portugal. The musician developed a unique musical language, crossing the roots of rock, punk and hardcore with ambient, folk and experimental sounds. His latest album, Terra Dormente, was released in 2022, in the middle of the pandemic. After a long hiatus, he prepares to premiere a new work in 2027, an album that reflects on the past but keeps an eye on the future.
