On October 1, from 17h00 to 19h30, the workshop 'The Shape of Sound' invites participants aged 14+ to explore the connection between music, art and nature, giving visual form to sound through painting.

Brief Introduction WORLD MUSIC DAY With Isabel Constantino Gonçalves and Marisa Noblejas* Thursday | October 1 Time: 17h00 to 19h30 Duration: 2h30 Minimum number of participants: 4 Maximum number: 10 Target audience: 14+ In this workshop we intend to explore the connection between music and the other forms of art and its connection to nature as a catalyst for creation, on a journey into the world of Japanese artists Matsutani, Lee, U-fan and Yamamoto, among others. We will reinterpret the concept of line and stain applied to sound, with new registers, expressions, textures and unusual materials that nature gives us, always hand in hand with composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. The workshop will have two distinct phases. A first phase in which different techniques for recording sound through line or stain are approached with different materials, such as the use of paint with different thicknesses and different brushes and paintbrushes, sprayers, drawing in 3D with acrylic plaster and drawing with salt and brooms. A second phase, in which each participant will apply the explored techniques to create and give shape to music on paper, to the sound of Aqua by Ryuichi Sakamoto. After that date, the refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in situations of illness, accident, or other unforeseeable force majeure circumstances, duly proven. If the activity does not take place due to lack of participants, or for another reason, the registration fee will be refunded in full. For more information contact *Isabel Gonçalves, psychologist and university professor, took the scientific illustration course and numerous workshops and courses in different techniques of drawing, painting, ceramics and ceramic painting. Training with teacher Pedro Salgado on the Japanese Gyotaku technique of fish printing opened doors to new freer and more intuitive experiences of this technique - applied mainly to the plant world. With the artist Marisa Noblejas, she leads artistic workshops for children, young people and families, using different techniques and materials. Marisa Noblejas, graduated in Philosophy and painter. Her artistic training took place at the National Society of Fine Arts of Lisbon, where she attended courses in Painting, Drawing, Tutorial Painting Regime, Art History, Aesthetics Themes, Cinema and Contemporary Art. She trained at SNBA, at the Gulbenkian Foundation and at MoMA in NY in different artistic areas. Since the late 1980s she has been present in group and solo exhibitions with award-winning works.
