Workshop with Catarina Preto to build a fold-out notebook with envelope, inspired by the Pilgrim's Notebook, including origami.

Brief Introduction With Catarina Preto* Sunday | 27 September 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Sold Out) 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM (New Session) M/12 years [indicative age] Min. 5 | Max. 18 Registrations until 21 September Inspired by the Pilgrim's Notebook, on display in the exhibition Japan Festivals and Rituals (Floor 2), in this workshop we challenge participants to build a notebook that unfolds in a surprising way, transforming into a sculptural piece. To achieve this result, we will discover, step by step, how to fold, assemble and transform sheets, cover and back cover and all the elements that turn this book into a very special object, including an origami envelope, which adds ways to store memories in a unique and personal way. Each participant will receive an illustrated guide with all the steps and measurements, so they can repeat it whenever necessary. In case of cancellation: A full refund of the registration fee will be made if cancellation is communicated up to 8 working days before the activity. After that date, a refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in cases of illness, accident, or other unforeseeable force majeure, duly proven. If the activity does not take place due to lack of participants, or for another reason, the registration fee will be fully refunded. For more information contact _______________________________________________________________________ Graduated in Painting with professional training in photography, she works as an illustrator and cultural mediator, but likes to call herself a creative, who from all the materials that come to her, all that she can cut and glue, make her what she is, someone who likes to take something and transform it into something else. Her relationship with paper changed forever with a Pop Up training, paper folding models that, by tradition, are inside a book and open when we want. But in what other contexts would these folds work? And with this question and many mistakes, she built mechanisms with pulleys and parts that open, like in books, but in a different way. The workshop with children has been the perfect place where paper experimentation happens in a freer and more honest way. It is through mediation that she takes these ways of doing to others and in sharing, she brings new perspectives that merge into her personal exploration. Prices €20 [materials included]
