As part of the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Fernando Lopes-Graça, the Lopes-Graça Choir of the Academia de Amadores de Música revisits the composer's choral repertoire. The choir explores new forms of interpretation and accompanies the music with information about the contexts and the meaning behind the creation of the pieces that make up the programme. In this concert, at the Auditorium of the Centro Cultural de Cascais, works that are part of the so-called «Canções Heroicas» (Heroic Songs), accompanied on piano, and a cappella choral songs based on traditional Portuguese themes will be presented. The programme ends with a moment of communal singing. Lopes-Graça Choir of the Academia de Amadores de Música. Conductor: Alexandre Weffort. Piano: Leonor Cardoso.
