As part of the PDL26 programme, Portuguese Capital of Culture, Falas & Afetos is a thematic and sensitive concert featuring songs composed by Aníbal Raposo based on poems by lusophone authors of recognised quality, from across the Portuguese-speaking world: the Azores, Madeira, mainland Portugal, Cape Verde, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Brazil, Mozambique, Goa, Macau and Timor. Accompanied by a band of seven musicians, the show creates a poetic and musical journey in which the common language reveals itself in multiple sonorities, affections and geographies. Each song will be briefly contextualised, highlighting the author, the origin and the emotional and social content of the work. Programme. Conceição Lima (São Tomé) Quando vieres.
