Figaro is preparing to marry Susana, but Count Almaviva also desires her, setting off a comedy of disguises and conspiracies. Beaumarchais's play, staged by António Pires, promises a well-deserved lesson for the master.

Brief Introduction After, in “The Barber of Seville”, having helped Count Almaviva win Rosina, now Countess, Figaro prepares to marry Susana. The problem is that the Count also desires Susana and relies on an old seigneurial right to get ahead of the groom on the wedding night. Figaro disagrees. So does Susana. The Countess, for obvious reasons, joins the conspiracy. Then come hidden lovers, swapped women, compromising letters, doors opening at the worst moment and a Count increasingly lost. In the end there is a wedding. And it is shown that a clever servant always knows how to serve his master well, especially with a good lesson.
