Guided tours of the B-MAD, Berardo Art Deco Museum, housed in the former summer residence of the Marquês de Abrantes in Alcântara. The route covers works from the Berardo Collection in the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements, displayed in period settings.

The B-MAD, Berardo Art Deco Museum, is installed in the heart of Lisbon, in the former summer residence of the Marquês de Abrantes, in Alcântara. On site, visitors can get to know several works from the Berardo Collection, which illustrate the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. In an effort to preserve the building, period settings were created, giving visitors the chance to admire the styles in an urban residential context. Contemporary museography has highlighted the works and their illustrious creators, superbly represented in the Collection, such as Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, Alfred Porteneuve, Jean-Michel Frank, Jacques Adnet, René Lalique and Jules Leleu. The Portuguese presence is felt through the renowned sculptor Ernesto Canto da Maya and the visual artist Eloy de Jesus Pereira, together with Ruhlmann's original drawings for the Casa de Serralves and part of the collection of silverware drawings from the Antiga Ourivesaria Reis e Filhos, in a tribute to Porto. There is also a reception area and shop, which opens onto a secret garden with a terrace, designed in the Deco grammar. Here visitors can enjoy an exclusive range of products from Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, surrounded by the masters, music and aura of the "Roaring Twenties".
