Permanent Exhibition: “Portuguese Presence in Asia” [Floor 1] With more than 3,400 pieces, this collection includes Chinese and Japanese folding screens from the 17th and 18th centuries and a core of armorial porcelain from the East India Company. Temporary exhibitions: “Japan: Festivals and Rituals” [Floor 2] Until 3 January 2027 Throughout the year, numerous traditional religious festivals and rituals of great social and cultural importance take place in Japan. Bringing together more than 1,500 pieces in an impressive scenography, Japan: Festivals and Rituals reveals these celebrations and their role in Japanese society.
