A temporary exhibition taking visitors to the suburbs of Lourenço Marques in the 1950s-70s, reflecting on culture, football and the legacies of colonialism through photography, mid-century pop culture and football objects. Open Wednesday to Monday, 10h to 18h, for 10 € with museum access included.

The temporary exhibition Fintar a Vida. Caniço, Football and the Estado Novo proposes a journey to the suburbs of Lourenço Marques in the decades of 1950-70, inviting reflection on culture, sport and the legacies of colonialism. Fintar a Vida draws on photography, objects of mid-twentieth-century pop culture, press publications and objects from the football sphere which, in close dialogue with the museum's collections, reveal the cultural and social contrasts existing in the city of Lourenço Marques.
