Carlos No brings to Fundação Carmona e Costa an installation that summons questions that have long been present in his work: the fragility of the human condition, exclusion, margins, and the imbalances resulting from social dynamics, the helplessness created by political choices or war. The singular place that ÓSTRACOS occupies in Carlos No's work thus derives not so much from the expectations of meaning that the title confers, but from the complexification that the worked matter and the production process conceived by the artist give it.
