B-MAD, housed in the former summer residence of the Marquis of Abrantes in Alcântara, presents works from the Berardo Collection spanning Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Guided tours take place daily, cost €6 and are free for children under 12.

B-MAD, Berardo, Art Deco Museum is located in the heart of the city of Lisbon, in the former summer residence of the Marquis of Abrantes, in Alcântara. On site, visitors can discover several works from the Berardo Collection, illustrating the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. In an effort to preserve the building, period settings were created, giving visitors the chance to admire the styles in an urban residential context. The contemporary museography highlighted the works and their illustrious creators, excellently represented in the Collection, such as Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann, Alfred Porteneuve, Jean-Michel Frank, Jacques Adnet, René Lalique and Jules Leleu. The Portuguese presence is felt through the renowned sculptor Ernesto Canto da Maya and the visual artist Eloy de Jesus Pereira, along with Ruhlmann's original drawings for Casa de Serralves and part of the silverware design collection from the former Reis e Filhos Goldsmithing, in a tribute to Porto. There is also a reception area and shop, which connects to a secret garden with a terrace, designed in the Deco grammar. Here visitors can enjoy an exclusive range of products from Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, surrounded by the masters, music and aura of the 'Roaring Twenties'.
