Brief Introduction BONSAI WORKSHOP With Márcio Meruje DATE Saturday | October 31 TIME | 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM PARTICIPANTS | Min. 10, Max. 22 PRICE | €75 [includes free bonsai] This workshop will cover the various themes of this art and, more importantly, teach how to properly care for a bonsai through various practical exercises. The so-called 'bonsai myths' will also be addressed in order to dispel the idea that bonsai is a sensitive tree, or that it requires special care. The workshop program includes: The history of bonsai, its styles and characteristics, how to make a bonsai (propagation methods, plant physiology), maintenance techniques (watering, pruning, wiring, transplanting), fertilization, composition, soil types and mixtures, diseases and pests (plant health). Márcio Meruje is dedicated exclusively to the art of bonsai in Portugal, with his store based in Águeda. He was a founding member of Clube Bonsai Sandô and, in 2009, the professional project Kensho Bonsai Studio came to life after studying with different professionals, notably Jean-Paul Polmans and Mario Komsta. In case of cancellation: A full refund of the registration fee will be made if cancellation is communicated up to 8 working days before the activity. After that date, a refund can only be considered if the place is filled or in cases of illness, accident, or other unforeseeable circumstances of force majeure, duly proven.
