MUDE – the Design Museum in Lisbon – presents its long-term display and temporary exhibitions, drawing on a collection of 35,000 design pieces across 24 collections, housed in an eight-floor building in the Baixa Pombalina; a combined ticket gives access to all the exhibitions on show.

Synopsis Due to maintenance work in the museum space, online sales are suspended from 7 July 2026 to 19 July 2026. However, tickets can be purchased at the on-site box office. MUDE, the Design Museum, is a museum of the Lisbon City Council established in 2006. Dedicated to all expressions of design, the collection currently comprises 35,000 inventory entries, organised into 24 collections and 6 clusters (Stage; Editorial; Graphic; Contemporary Jewellery; Fashion; Product, including Interiors). The museum occupies the entire block of the former headquarters of Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU), bounded by Rua Augusta, Rua da Prata, Rua de São Julião and Rua do Comércio. In the heart of the Baixa Pombalina, the historic centre rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake according to the Marquis of Pombal's plan, MUDE has 8 floors and a total area of almost 14,000 m2, with five galleries for the display of the museum's collection and the presentation of temporary exhibitions, as well as spaces for education, research, study, debate, creation, socialising and leisure. Its full reopening in 2024 also contributed to the cultural and identity revitalisation of central Lisbon. The combined ticket allows visitors to see all the exhibitions on display. Opening Hours Summer hours (April to September): Tuesday to Thursday: 10am - 7pm Friday and Saturday: 10am - 9pm Sunday: 10am - 7pm Winter hours (October to March): Tuesday to Thursday: 10am - 6pm Friday and Saturday: 10am - 8pm Sunday: 10am - 6pm The museum is closed on Mondays, 25 December and 1 January.
