Peter and the Wolf is a new creation by the National Ballet Company dedicated to children, based on Sergei Prokofiev's musical tale, with choreography by Andreas Heise and live music by the Portuguese Youth Orchestra.

For the first time in the Company's history, Sergei Prokofiev's famous musical tale takes shape through dance, becoming a scenic experience of imagination, discovery and enchantment. Through the vision of choreographer Andreas Heise, this creation revisits the symbolic and adventurous universe of Peter and the Wolf, bringing new generations closer to music and dance in a lively, poetic and contemporary language. On stage, the musical interpretation will be performed by the Portuguese Youth Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Jorge Leiria.
