Twenty-eight years after its premiere, this new presentation gains a renewed aesthetic dimension through the vision of the renowned artists José Manuel Castanheira, José António Tenente and Nuno Meira, who reinvent the set design, costumes and lighting design, for a contemporary reading of the work.Between memory and reinvention, this new production of The Sleeping Beauty opens up space for the projection of the future of one of the most celebrated ballets of the classical repertoire, in tune with the bold and innovative artistic path of the Companhia Nacional de Bailado. The Portuguese Symphony Orchestra once again performs this universal work under the musical direction of Antonio Pirolli.Ted BrandsenChoreographyPiotr I.
