An evening of Irish traditional music at Casa do Fauno, where the Lisbon Irish Session brings together fiddles, concertinas, mandolins and pipes for jigs, reels, polkas and hornpipes — with no stage and no distance between musicians and audience.

by Lisbon Irish Session An evening of music, tradition and Irish spirit. The Lisbon Irish Session brings the tradition of Irish sessions to Casa do Fauno: informal musical gatherings where musicians come together to play traditional Irish tunes. It will be three hours of travelling through the soundscapes of Ireland, also passing through Portuguese, Galician, Scottish and Swedish tunes, in a musical gathering between long-time friends. Fiddles, concertinas, mandolins, pipes and other traditional instruments come together to bring to life the jigs, reels, polkas and hornpipes (and pints!) that are part of Ireland's extraordinary musical heritage. A session is a gathering: no stage, no distance between musicians and audience. The music happens right there, in the moment, with the energy and spontaneity that are the hallmark of the Irish tradition. Come and listen, drink, chat and let yourself be carried away by the music! Founded in 2007, this Irish traditional music session has stood the test of time and has never stopped to this day. Sláinte! 🍀
