The SISMO, SINAL workshop explores the translation of the seismic signal into sound, image, sensory effects and material forms, using Alexandre Estrela's Réplicas at Galeria Zé dos Bois as a case study. It will be developed by 11 Master's in Fine Arts students from ESAD Caldas da Rainha, guided by artists and scientists, and includes a collective presentation.

SISMO, SINAL is a workshop that explores the translation of the seismic signal into sound, image, sensory effects and material forms. Alexandre Estrela's Réplicas, on display at Galeria Zé dos Bois, serve as a case study to observe how scientific research and technical experimentation can be incorporated into artistic creation processes. The workshop will be developed by 11 students from the Master's in Fine Arts at ESAD Caldas da Rainha, under the guidance of artists with interdisciplinary practices and scientists from the fields of robotics and behavioural neuroscience, and includes a collective presentation of the experiments carried out. Scientific guidance: João Frazão (NeuroGEARS), Matheus Farias (Moita Lab / Behavioural Neuroscience, Champalimaud Foundation), Guilherme Martins. Artistic guidance: Ian Duclos, Elisa Pône, Joana da Conceição, Marfox, Von Calhau!, Miguel Abreu.
