Disquiet

Sunday 1 November

Teatro Camões, Lisbon

Desassossego is born from the literary universe of Fernando Pessoa to transform the word into body, movement and emotion. One show and a single work, made up of two distinct ballets, which reveal different ways of looking at Pessoa: the intimate restlessness, the unfolding of the self, the solitude and the multiplicity that run through his writing. Between the depth of literature and the expressiveness of dance, Desassossego invites the audience to dive into a sensory journey where thought and movement meet, giving new life to Pessoa's poetic universe through the contemporary language of the body. Two new creations by Daniel Cardoso and Marcelino Sambé for the CNB, Companhia Nacional de Bailado, in its absolute premiere at the opening of the new season at Teatro Camões. Technical sheet: A program by the Companhia Nacional de Bailado consisting of: 'Elsewhere within stillness' Choreography by Daniel Cardoso; music by Arvo Pärt & KaJeng Wong, Ezio Bosso, Hania Rani, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Max Richter. .............................................................................................. 'Eles, invertidos' Choreography by Marcelino Sambé; Sound composition by Nuno Veiga; voice, José Neves; featuring 'Passacaglia for Orchestra, P 159 (after BWV 582)', by J. S. Bach.
