A theatrical diptych created by Cristina Carvalhal from Arthur Miller's 'Perigo: Memória!', interweaving the story of two long-time friends facing the passing of the years with that of a father questioned about his daughter's murder, narrated by her spectral figure.
Two long-standing friends from different social strata struggle with the difficulties inherent in the passing of the years. Everything has changed a lot and too quickly — or is it just imagination? A man lying on the floor. His daughter has just been murdered. An inspector from the Polícia Judiciária tries to question him. He fought the war in Africa; she was passed over in her career for being a woman. The spectral figure of the dead daughter is the omniscient narrator of this diptych. After all, the dead do not forget. Trapped in the wheel of time, they can lift some of the shrouds of silence that we insist on spreading over the past. Technical sheet: Teatro da Trindade INATEL and Causas Comuns. Based on 'Perigo: Memória!' by Arthur Miller. Created by Cristina Carvalhal; with Ana Valentim, Cucha Carvalheiro and João Maria Pinto.
