An exhibition of around 100 works from the EDP Foundation Collection, curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah, on view at MAAT Central in two stages and running until 2027.

Turn Around presents itself as one of the broadest and most ambitious public readings of contemporary art in Portugal. Curated by João Pinharanda, Margarida Chantre and Sérgio Mah, the exhibition brings together around 100 works from the EDP Foundation Collection, a collection started in 2000 that today includes around 2,500 works by more than 340 artists. On display at MAAT Central in two moments — starting on 11 February and 29 April — the show was conceived as a single exhibition project, on view until 2027. Far from a thematic or chronological organization, the selection proposes an open route, built from the dialogue between works, generations and languages, in close relation with the architecture of the space. Between established artists and emerging voices, Turn Around reveals affinities, frictions and continuities that cross Portuguese artistic practices of recent decades.
