Lisbon Irish Session brings the informal tradition of the Irish session to Casa do Fauno: three hours of jigs, reels and polkas played side by side with the audience, with detours through Portuguese, Galician, Scottish and Swedish tunes.

Lisbon Irish Session brings the tradition of Irish sessions to Casa do Fauno. With no stage or distance between musicians and audience, more than a concert, a session is an informal musical gathering where musicians come together to play traditional Irish tunes. Violins, concertinas, mandolins, bagpipes and many other traditional instruments meet to bring jigs, reels, polkas and pints to life! 🍻 It will be three hours of travel through the soundscape of Ireland — also passing through Portuguese, Galician, Scottish and Swedish tunes, in a musical gathering between old friends. Founded in 2007, this Irish traditional music session has stood the test of time and has never stopped to this day. 🍀 Sláinte!
