Brief Introduction Guided visits to the exhibition Pedro Cabrita Reis, “with a heart free of cares” The exhibition Pedro Cabrita Reis, “with a heart free of cares”, brings together around two hundred unpublished works exploring languages such as painting, drawing, collage and sculpture. With strong references to the tradition of Western painting (between the Renaissance and modernism), these are works in which the artist deepens his usual themes: architecture and its ruin, nature (understood as scenography), the body and its eroticism, history as fascination and subversion. Recognised as one of the major figures of contemporary European art, Pedro Cabrita Reis continues to establish himself as one of the most influential and consistent artists of recent decades. The guided visits to the MAAT temporary exhibitions aim to be an informal space for experimentation that promotes knowledge and dialogue, in a shared responsibility, inviting visitors to take an active role.
