Carpet 12 Years Over the past twelve years, Carpet has grown into something that goes well beyond a record shop. From our labels and distribution to parties, mentoring and everything in between, it’s been a way for us to stay involved in different parts of the independent electronic music scene, always driven by the same curiosity for music, the people around it, and the positive impact it can have on our lives - something we’ve always wanted to share with others. We’re celebrating at Rūmu, a place very close to us - somewhere we spend every week, right next to Carpet & Snares, and a natural part of our everyday lives. For the occasion, we’re very happy to welcome DJ Dustin, co-founder of Giegling and one of the key figures behind the label since its early days. Over the years, his path has taken him from Panorama Bar and De School to Horoom, Waking Life and dancefloors much further afield. A longtime digger and selector, Dustin is a storyteller behind the decks, moving patiently through deep house and techno, broken rhythms and dubbed-out sounds, letting each set unfold in its own way.
