Coming from the DIY hardcore scene, Coilguns created their own blend of punk and noise-rock. They are known for their raw, uncompromising and euphoric live performances, proudly serving dancing freakies and the weirdos of crowd-surfing. The band's history is deeply linked to the development of the label of their own guitarist Jona Nido, Humus Records. In the summer of 2022, Coilguns recorded their fourth album in Norway with producer Scott Evans, later mixed by Tom Dalgety. Released in November 2024, the album marked a turning point in the band's career, leading them to play more than 85 concerts around the world in 2025. Motivated by the success, Coilguns recorded their fifth album, Everything We Love, We Destroy, between tours, at the headquarters of their label, Humus Records, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The album was recorded by Scott Evans (Thrice, La Dispute, Neurosis), mixed by Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Pixies, Royal Blood, Tiger Cub) and featured overdubs and additional production by Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe, The Armed). After the singles Peace Trader and Carbon Magic, the band presented the third single, Everything We Love, We Destroy, with the album's release scheduled for 6 November. There is no seating, nor reserved seats, at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position facing the stage, it's best to arrive early. And be prepared to spend an hour or two standing.
