Curated by Bernardo Vilhena, Aquilo que Resta brings together Wilame Lima's paintings and pastels, which start from recognisable images — houses, landscapes, interiors — and let them dissolve into atmospheres of light and colour.
Aquilo que Resta brings together paintings by Wilame Lima that start from recognisable images — houses, landscapes, trees, interiors, windows, animals and objects — to follow the moment when these images drift away from the experience that gave rise to them. Curated by Bernardo Vilhena, the works oscillate between recognition and dissolution into atmosphere, field of light or chromatic presence; built through layers, glazes and erasures. In the pastels on fabric, the frayed edges and porous surface reinforce the fragmentary condition of the image. On the canvases, the reference becomes more rarefied: places remain, but no longer necessarily as geography. Between house and landscape, interior and exterior, figure and stain, the images remain suspended — something still remains, though it can no longer be recovered in full. Tuesday to Saturday, 11h to 13h / 15h to 19h. Technical sheet: Curated by Bernardo Vilhena.
