In the second session of Pay the Poets, the show “A teologia das coisas simples” is guided by the words of Cláudia R. Sampaio. The poet speaks her verses just as she writes them: like someone who turns themselves inside out and displays life tattooed on the inside, as if giving it back to the infinite. It is a true way of giving body to the poem through the voice, tearing open an outer skin. In this show, which includes the reading of unpublished poems, the author takes the stage accompanied by the sound design of Gustavo Cruz and the cello of Tiago Rosa, an instrument now trembling, now a landscape made poem, which presents itself as an experienced accomplice in this way of listening to the simplest things.
