After Mulheres e Resistência and Novas Cartas Portuguesas e outras lutas, the Museu do Aljube Resistência e Liberdade continues to focus its programme on women's struggles against the dictatorship and the old regime. This time, the theme is the experience of women who endured the condition of political prisoners: how they resisted, how they survived torture and the conditions of imprisonment, and who supported them, among other aspects. The exhibition is the institution's tribute to the legacy, courage and inspiration of these women.
