Synopsis Manuel Jerónimo and Gonçalo Sítima come together to chat, deconstruct and explore the world of biblical stories. That's it. Between the sacred and the everyday, between mystery and the plausible, there is a whole universe to discover in the pages of the Old and New Testament. There are miracles, parables, prophets, kings, betrayals, visions and deserts, but also sandals, meals, tantrums, routines, doubts and details that did not deserve ink on the sacred pages. Without a script and driven by the audience's curiosity, Peixar aos Pregos will venture into questions both ancient and unnecessary: who made Abraham's sandals? Which carpentry supplied the wood for Jacob's ladder? What did Miriam do when she was bored? What did Pontius Pilate eat for breakfast on the days he stayed in bed later? In a show where erudition crosses with the colloquial and faith meets imagination, each session will be a journey through time. Part improvised theatre, part religious storytelling, Peixar aos Pregos revisits the Scriptures with humour, wonder and irreverence, without losing its fascination for their timeless imagery.
