Gabriela Machado seeks inspiration in everyday landscapes, in a harmonious, almost symbiotic relationship with the nature and environment that surround her. Working with painting, sculpture and drawing, the artist creates works with organic motifs that find their form through the use of intense brushstrokes, luminous colors and contrasting scales. In Lá no Alto do Sol, Machado presents a series of drawings in large and medium format that result from an exercise of doing, as the artist describes, where the traces of her movements confer a strong physicality and energy to the works. The body moves freely across the paper, exploring the possibilities of ink and brushes in drawings marked by spontaneity and built through color, created without a plan and where any figuration is merely accidental. Tuesday to Friday, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. drawing.
