Cuid'Arte at MAAT provides well-being experiences through art for people with dementia and caregivers. Cuid'Arte sessions are free and take place on the first and third Saturday of each month. Although participation is open and non-sequential, regularity offers continuity and familiarity, reinforcing the relationship with the museum and the sense of belonging.
The sessions are developed around the exhibitions on display at the museum, inviting participants to explore art in a sensory and accessible way, through observation, conversation and small dynamics that encourage participation. The main goal is to create time and space for each person to engage with what they see and with the group accompanying them, in a context of welcome, listening and relationship.
