The Municipal Chamber of Cascais presents the book 'Luís Athouguia: Life and Work of the Painter of Cascais' and inaugurates the exhibition 'Reflexo Exógeno' (Exogenous Reflection), by Luís Athouguia, on November 13th, at 7:00 PM, at the Edifício dos Paços do Concelho. In an explosion of colors, shapes and lines, visitors will be able to appreciate a selection of a set of paintings donated by the artist to the Municipal Chamber of Cascais. In the rooms, videos are also displayed showing artistic creations by Luís Athouguia, using Artificial Intelligence, which are born from his works. The session begins with the presentation of the book 'Luís Athouguia: Life and Work of the Painter of Cascais', an edition of the Municipal Chamber of Cascais, followed by the inauguration of the artist's exhibition. The book goes through the life, the surrealist path and the multiple dimensions of a work that was born deeply linked to Cascais and that, over decades, explored diverse languages, techniques and geographies. More than a biography, it is a map of approach to the dreamlike universe of an artist whose painting continues to challenge the gaze and leave space for what each spectator imagines.
