SfiL, the stage name of Vicente Pontes, is a young Madeiran artist who, after establishing himself as a back vocalist for Van Zee, has been forging his own path at the front of the stage. Releasing music since 2021, he consolidated his identity in 2024 with the EP Raíz, followed by the singles Se Eu Pudesse and A Meio Da Noite, in which he explores a more eccentric and daring sound, between indie-rock, pop and pop-rock. He is currently in a moment of discovery and reinvention, preparing upcoming releases and his debut album. At Casa Capitão, SfiL performs for the first time under his own name with a concert inspired by the concept “estou a isto de ser aquilo” (“I'm on the verge of becoming that”), a portrait of a generation in permanent transition, between the insecurities and challenges of growing up and the excitement of still discovering who they are. Just as adulthood is built in stages, SfiL's artistic affirmation also happens step by step. Tonight marks the first attempt to reach “that” which is yet to be achieved. There is no seating, assigned or otherwise, at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position facing the stage, it is advisable to arrive early. And be prepared to spend an hour or two standing.
