In this exhibition Leonel dos Santos presents a set of figurative sculptures in marble and iron whose identity lies not only in form but is born from the tension between the materials. Marble and iron are not merely technical choices; they are a language. Marble is silence, light, skin, contemplation. Iron is impulse, root, strength, nerve and energy. The works on show live precisely in that encounter and, that is why the exhibition Da Matéria ao Silêncio is not only about marble — it is about the transformation of matter into inner experience.
