The last few years have been transformative for Nate Amos. Between releasing successful solo records, both as This Is Lorelei and with Water From Your Eyes, performing on several continents, and seeing some of today's most influential artists cover his songs, he has found his rhythm. On his first album with the indie institution label Matador, “The Singer in My Band”, he takes the foundational blocks of the American songbook and twists those elements into new shapes, strangely familiar and affectionately eccentric.
