Producer Everything is New, Lda Synopsis Damien Rice has just announced a new tour that passes through Portugal on 26 March 2027, for a concert at the Coliseu de Lisboa. The Irish singer-songwriter marks the 25th anniversary of O, the debut album that marked the beginning of his career and won a legion of fans around the world. The tour covers 25 cities and celebrates the songs that started it all, revisited for the audience that grew up with his music and for a new generation of listeners who continue to discover its timelessness. Written, recorded and produced at home, O was born from a deeply personal process. Financed by a loan from his father and made with the equipment and encouragement of his cousin, composer David Arnold, the album was released in February 2002, through Damien Rice's own label. At the time, the musician even came to believe that it would be the only album he would ever make. More than two decades later, O remains a reference work, recognised for the emotional honesty of its songs and the simplicity of its sound. Throughout his career, Damien Rice has also released 9, in 2006, and My Favourite Faded Fantasy, in 2014, consolidating an artistic identity marked by confessional writing, emotional intensity and a stripped-back musical approach, capable of transforming intimate feelings into universal songs. On stage, Damien Rice stands out for the singular way he performs his music: more than singing his songs, he seems to relive them at each performance, creating moments of great closeness and emotion with the audience. On 26 March 2027, the Coliseu de Lisboa will be the setting for this reunion with the songs of O and with one of the most remarkable albums in the career of the Irish singer-songwriter.
