BATEU MATOU is a supergroup formed by Ivo Costa (Sara Tavares), Quim Albergaria (Paus) and Riot (Buraka Som Sistema). More than an unlikely band that brings together drums and computers, Bateu Matou is also a trio of producers with a markedly percussive approach, who fuse contemporary influences with their roots. In 2021 they released their debut album, CHEGOU, and since then the band has performed on some of the biggest stages in the country. The second album, BATEDEIRA, released in March 2024, is a celebration of their origins, crossing influences from Goa, Portugal, Africa and Brazil. BATEDEIRA incorporates joy and identity, offering a living and vibrant expression of the diversity of the people, rhythms and stories of Lisbon. With this album, the band did a national tour and took their “BAILE” around Europe, performing at festivals in Germany, Switzerland (Montreux Jazz Festival), France, the Netherlands and Spain, making their musical language universal and accessible to all. With a new EP released at the beginning of 2026 and another scheduled for October, Bateu Matou continue to expand the concept of “O Nosso Baile” through a residency at Casa Capitão. There is no seating, nor assigned seats, at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position facing the stage, it is advisable to arrive early. And be ready to spend one or two hours standing. 12:00 / 15:00, Lunch. 14:00 | 15:30, Terrace DJ Set. 16:00 | 18:00, Concert.
