Synopsis GOA - Contos em Viagem is the new creation by Teatro Meridional, built from short stories, poetry and excerpts from novels by different authors, written at different moments in the history of Goa, Daman and Diu. From a research process that begins in literature and expands into music, movement and the plastic and sensory dimension, the show seeks the historical, geographical and human universe of these territories, where Portuguese was spoken — and where, residually, it is still spoken today. This is an encounter between Portugal and its own history. A show that honours the Indo-Portuguese communities living in Portugal today, bringing to the stage a heritage that many Portuguese people crossed without knowing, and that many others know nothing about at all.
