Imaginary Topographies

Saturday 7 November – Saturday 21 November

Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa - Videoteca, Lisbon

The 2026 edition of Topografias Imaginárias (Imaginary Topographies), a cycle of commented screenings, is dedicated to the relationship between Lisbon and Nature, proposing a cinematic journey that invites the public to rediscover the city through its ecosystems, its biodiversity and the natural forces that continue to shape the urban territory. The cycle takes place over three sessions, each meeting is structured in three complementary moments: the screening of a film, a critical commentary by a professor and researcher in the fields of Humanities and Film Studies, and a conversation with the filmmakers and invited experts, from the environmental sciences and the study of territory, as well as with a producer of Nature documentaries. Cinema thus becomes the starting point for an interdisciplinary dialogue where different forms of knowledge cross and enrich each other. More information here.
