On October 17, Oktober Festa returns to Marvila for a new celebration of independent beer, music and gastronomy. Between 1 PM and 3 AM, the Lisbon Beer Department, made up of Dois Corvos, Fermentage, Oitava Colina and MUSA Marvila, offers a program with concerts, DJ sets, several food pop-ups and the launch of a collaborative beer. Music once again takes center stage in the program, with highlights including Scúru Fitchádu, Marcus Veiga's project that crosses Cape Verdean and African references with the urgency of punk and electronic music; Gatafunho, which transforms everyday life and urban disenchantment into a sound material made of incisive bass and drums, distorted guitars and electronic textures; and GANSO, a Lisbon band that, over a decade, has made reinvention one of the hallmarks of its journey, between independent pop and new sonic explorations. Oktober Festa also hosts the concert by PIPADEMA$A, on the day marking the release of the debut album that crosses pop, rock, punk, hyperpop and electronic music in an irreverent universe. The lineup is completed by Clap na Cara's danceable electronic live set, the punk rock of Ervas Daninhas, the alternative metal of Stereophobia, the explosive garage rock of Pink Pussycats From Hell, the lo-fi guitars and slacker energy of Tédio fc, and the songs of João Não & Lil Noon, in a journey that crosses different languages of today's independent music. Late into the night, the program also moves to the DJ booths with Bateu Matou (DJ set), Baby Rocket, Gosto de Ti por Gay da Cinemateca, and Ritmos Cholulteka. Beer, concerts, DJ sets and food thus come together again in an Oktober Festa designed to wind through Marvila from space to space, from early afternoon until 3 AM. outdoors beer dj set.
