Starting from the idea of drawing as thought made visible, the exhibition explores this practice as a language and an autonomous form of expression. Through pencil and pen on paper, different gestures, lines and shapes give body to ideas, memories and images, revealing distinct approaches to the act of drawing. The show brings together works by artists selected through UMA's Open Call, held in March: Jefferson Rib, Joana Vieira de Castro, Mab.Ko, Mariana Laginha, Rafael Barros and Rita Paupério; and by invited artists: Beatriz Brum, Cássio Markowsky, Corpo Atelier, Joana R. Sá, João R. Ferreira, Rita Ravasco, Sebastião Cavaco, Tina Siuda and Tomás Castro Neves. Do Pensamento ao Papel (From Thought to Paper) proposes an encounter between different practices and languages, affirming drawing not only as a starting point for other forms of creation, but as an artistic territory with an identity of its own. Monday to Friday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. group drawing show.
