How do we imagine the house we need today? In a world marked by environmental instability, social transformations and the scarcity of resources, the exhibition Manobras de Aproximação: Casas Otimistas para o Agora (Approach Manoeuvres: Optimist Houses for the Now) invites us to rethink the place where we live and the way architecture can respond to the challenges of the present. Bringing together a new generation of Portuguese architects, aged between 35 and 40, the show proposes a common exercise: designing a house for the now. Through speculative projects, each studio presents different perspectives on contemporary dwelling, revealed in drawings, plans, sections, elevations, models and descriptive reports. More than offering definitive answers, the exhibition reveals the creative processes, the criteria and the values that guide current Portuguese architecture. What choices do we make when we imagine a house? How can we build in a more conscious, sustainable way, adjusted to the needs of our time? An invitation to discover new possibilities for the future of housing and to imagine more optimistic houses, capable of responding to the concerns of the present and of opening paths to other ways of living. ARV. Friday to Tuesday, from 11am to 7pm. group show.
