Between myth, humor and the absurd, Gabriel Abrantes presents Tom and Godiva , an exhibition that crosses painting, installation and narrative to create a universe where different realities collide. At the center of the show are Tom and Godiva, a couple of pneumatic nudes portrayed in a series of paintings: he, a thirsty tailor; she, a medieval noblewoman. The two characters are thrown into a delirious and bloody pursuit that defies the conventions of representation and narrative. Through these works, Abrantes explores the limits between fiction and reality, image and thought, summoning fundamental questions about existence and the way we interpret the world. Tom and Godiva proposes a disquieting and unpredictable visual experience, where the grotesque and the philosophical cross to open new possibilities of reading. At the same time, Galeria Francisco Fino presents Epidermis , by Bin Koh, an exhibition that brings together myth, geometry and writing in a pictorial installation that transforms the exhibition space into a field of tension between chaos and order, superimposition and concealment; and Her Dark Materials, by Alice dos Reis, who, on the underground floor, presents a sequence of real action in which two iconic figures, coming from distinct traditions, meet in a confrontation of worlds and perspectives.
