Hailing from Texas, where they formed in 2005, This Will Destroy You have become one of the major references in instrumental post-rock. Their music is as expansive as it is cinematic, grafted with ambient and doomgaze. They pass by Casa on December 4th to play “Young Mountain” and “Another Language” in full, two of their fundamental records, released respectively in 2006 and 2014. If in the first the music seems to live in constant tension, in an anxiety about to explode, in the second a language that is difficult to classify is deepened, crossing different territories without the seams being noticeable. There are no seats, nor assigned ones, at Casa Capitão concerts. To guarantee a good position facing the stage, it is advisable to arrive early. And be ready to spend one or two hours standing.
